What’s Involved

  • About

  • The Ministry Development School (MDS) is designed to support all new member of our staff team as they find their feet in a missional context. This course is run alongside a full time ministry role and aids staff in a smooth transition from DTS to long term missions.

    The MDS covers a range of topics such as the role of God in developing your support team, Biblical worldview, working in teams and setting goals in both your personal life and ministry.

    Some topics covered include:

    • Financial management
    • Missions & evangelism
    • Developing practical skills for ministry
    • Communication
  • Accreditation

  • The Ministry Development School is registered with the University of the Nations (UofN). Upon completion of this course you will receive 24 credits towards your degree through the College of Christian Ministries (CHR 241/ 242).

    The MDS is accredited as a Certificate IV in Christian Missions (10173NAT) within the Australian qualification framework.

    Prerequisite: To apply for the MDS you must first have successfully completed a Discipleship Training School and be accepted as YWAM Tahlee staff.

    Dates: The MDS is a two year course which we begin quarterly as part of your staff internship.
